- SUMMARY OF INCREDIBLE LEAVE/PAID TIME OFF: 3 Weeks Annual Leave for all FT non-faculty employees (Balance can be carried into next year); 3 Weeks Sick Leave and 1 Week Discretionary Leave for all FT employees; 1 Week Spring Break; 1 Week Thanksgiving/Fall Break; 1 Week Winter Holiday Break (it is usually a couple days MORE) all adds up to 9 Weeks. ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES ANNOUNCES AN OPENING IN FISCAL OPERATIONS
POSITION: Financial Associate
Description of Duties: Responsible for various reconciliations including, but not limited to: general ledger, procurement credit card and various other statements. Prepare monthly reconciliations including research of outstanding or unresolved items for various College operating cash funds to State reports and statements. Post correcting general ledger journal entries to various funds and accounts. Assist with internal and external financial audits as requested. Reconcile Form 11 each month as required by the State. Reconcile the College Pro-Card statement each month. Run expense and revenue reports and queries from various internal and State systems. Research, analyze and implement methods/processes/procedures to enhance internal controls, productivity and efficiency. Attend meetings, conferences and seminars relating to financial reporting and higher education. Other tasks as assigned. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
Minimum Qualifications: Associate's Degree or equivalent with credit hours in Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline. Three (3) years accounting environment experience in government, higher education or financial industry. Two (2) years of experience with general ledger or bank reconciliations. Intermediate knowledge of Excel and working knowledge of MS Office. Ability to interpret, analyze and research financial data. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to maintain professionalism and strict confidentiality at all times. Light lifting up to 10 lbs and light carrying up to 10 lbs required. Ability to reach above shoulder. Desired Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline. Five (5) years accounting environment experience including GL, AP and AR. Advanced knowledge of reporting tools such as spread sheets and databases. Experience working with PeopleSoft financials
