POSITION: Grant Manager, Higher Education Prevention Services (Temp, STF)
Description of Duties: The Grant Manager will ensure compliance to all grants, and contracts as well as work as a liaison with funding agency. Coordinates with Rose State personnel all financial and budgetary programmatic procedures, including procurement policies. Coordinates efforts in preparing budgets, program concepts and application submissions. All other duties as assigned. Manage the day to day efforts of RSC-HEPS (Higher Education Prevention Services) project. This includes, but is not limited to, following the guidelines of the Strategic Prevention Framework model. Work with the partnering coalition(s) to develop work plans and implement work plan objectives. Conduct needs assessments and surveys as needed. Responsible for the research, development and dissemination of prevention information and referral sources. Exhibits effectiveness in developing and advocating for conformity to policies and procedures; support and enforcement of organizational commitments and goals, completion of assignments in line with previously established budgets and schedules. Maintain complete, accurate and current records related to the grant. Identifies campus needs in terms of awareness, advocacy, and education regarding the scope of substance abuse and mental health related problems. Conducts training, organizes special events, provides technical assistance, and attends local, regional, and statewide meetings as required. Work collaboratively with campus departments to prepare and deliver programming to address gaps in knowledge and services. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Perform other related duties as assigned. No supervisory duties. Works independently under general supervision and reports to the Associate Vice President for Student Life.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science, Public Health, Education, Marketing & Public Relations, or related field. Three years of experience in Prevention Programming and/or environmental prevention programming and/or assessment. Ability to collaborate & communicate effectively with colleagues, students, community members, & other vested prevention partners. Knowledge of the Strategic Prevention Framework model. Skills & competency as an educator capable of effective training & supervision. Knowledge of community organization & assessment & current trends & practices in prevention field. Ability to complete & maintain accurate records & submit reports in a timely & efficient manner. Light lifting up to 10 lbs. & light carrying up to 10 lbs. required. Ability to reach above shoulder. Periods of time spent sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending & stooping. Manual dexterity sufficient to type. Visual acuity sufficient to identify on-screen images & characters. Stamina sufficient to commute to various locations on campus.
Desired Qualifications: Master's degree in Behavioral Science, Public Health, Education, or related field.
