ACADEMIC AFFIARS ANNOUNCES A PART TIME POSITION OPEN IN HEALTH SCIENCES DIVISION
POSITION: CLINICAL SIMULATION SUPPORT SPECIALIST (PART-TIME)
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Responsible for the maintenance, utilization and operation of human simulators to include, but not limited to: a variety of neonatal, maternal, pediatric and adult manikins in support of the Nursing Science program. May assist in the development of pre-clinical protocols in conjunction with Program faculty and staff. Work closely with Program faculty in the use of such devices and provide oversight and assistance with use. Provide basic training on simulator utilization to new division personnel. Prepare simulators prior to scheduled labs and ensure appropriate operation. Submit purchase requests for supplies as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. This is a temporary, part-time position. The hours will fluctuate according to laboratory schedules and may not exceed 20 hours per week.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's Degree in a health discipline or related field. Three (3) years hands-on experience in patient care. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Moderate lifting up to 25 lbs and moderate carrying up to 25 lbs. Ability to reach above shoulder. Periods of time spent sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending and stooping.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Baccalaureate Degree. Teaching and/or bio-technical or Nursing experience.
PAY RATE: $23.75 per hour (up to 20 hours per week)
