  • SUMMARY OF INCREDIBLE LEAVE/PAID TIME OFF: 3 Weeks Annual Leave for all FT non-faculty employees (Balance can be carried into next year); 3 Weeks Sick Leave and 1 Week Discretionary Leave for all FT employees; 1 Week Spring Break; 1 Week Thanksgiving/Fall Break; 1 Week Winter Holiday Break (it is usually a couple days MORE) all adds up to 9 Weeks. Add in 8-plus days off for Fridays in June and July and 4 other campus-closures for observation of holidays and it all adds up to 12 WEEKS of PAID TIME OFF! Other benefits include:


POSITION:  Professor, Respiratory Therapy

Description of Duties: Responsible for teaching assigned courses in accordance with the course syllabi and the schedule of the Respiratory Therapy Program. Report directly to the Program Director and the Dean, Health Sciences Division. Teach fifteen (15) credit hours per semester and maintain a minimum of fifteen (15) office hours per week. Responsibilities include the development and maintenance of course syllabi and materials. Teach collaboratively within the Respiratory Therapy Program to include: classroom, laboratory, pre-clinical/clinical components and clinical supervision. Faculty responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting with student advisement and committee work for the Program and the College. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Program Director and/or the Dean, Health Sciences Division. Has no regularly assigned supervisory responsibilities. Work under general supervision. Receive training and guidelines from the Program Director.

Minimum Qualifications: Baccalaureate Degree or working towards a Baccalaureate Degree. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) holding an active Oklahoma Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license. Experience: Four (4) years clinical experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Two (2) years' experience teaching in an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program, either as a faculty member or as a clinical preceptor. Light lifting up to 10 lbs and light carrying up to 10 lbs. Ability to reach above shoulder. Periods of time spent sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending and stooping. Mobility to move from building to building on-campus and to visit off-campus sites/facilities.

Desired Qualifications: Master's Degree or working towards a Master's Degree.
