- SUMMARY OF INCREDIBLE LEAVE/PAID TIME OFF: 3 Weeks Annual Leave for all FT non-faculty employees (Balance can be carried into next year); 3 Weeks Sick Leave and 1 Week Discretionary Leave for all FT employees; 1 Week Spring Break; 1 Week Thanksgiving/Fall Break; 1 Week Winter Holiday Break (it is usually a couple days MORE) all adds up to 9 Weeks. Add in 8-plus days off for Fridays in June and July and 4 other campus-closures for observation of holidays and it all adds up to 12 WEEKS of PAID TIME OFF! ACADEMIC AFFAIRS ANNOUNCES AN OPENING IN THE BUSINESS INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIVISION
POSITION: Professor, Cyber Security (80%)/Program Coordinator (20%)
Description of Duties: Responsible for coordinating with the director of the Cyber Security program in support of curriculum, certification, and accreditation. Teach twelve (12) credit hours per semester Fall / Spring in the CIT and Cyber Security programs. Work closely with the program director and dean in support of the Cyber Security degree programs. Coordinate curriculum, instructional, and course related materials with adjunct professors teaching in the Cyber Security degree programs. Work closely with program director in developing, evaluating, and revising curriculum development, student advisement, and assist with grant proposals. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Coordinate budget requests with the program director and dean. Coordinate technology requests and needs for CIT and Cyber Security programs. Serve on program and college committees. Collaborate with schedule development for course offerings. Perform other related duties as assigned. Facilitate with Assessment Committee to insure courses taught align with curriculum requirements in the course syllabi, and supervise part-time hourly employees. Work under limited supervision. Receive training and guidance from the Division Dean. Special projects as assigned by the Division Dean.
Minimum Qualifications: At least a Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline. Currently holds the following certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+. Complete the CISSP certification within 6 years. Two (2) years industry experience in the field of Cyber Security or Information Technology. Knowledge of Cyber Security, Networking, and basic programming. Interest and willingness to manage/build the Cyber Security Program. Excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills. Light lifting up to 10 lbs. and light carrying up to 10 lbs. Ability to reach above shoulder. Periods of time spent sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending and stooping.
Desired Qualifications: Master's degree, Doctorate degree or additional graduate work in Computer Security or related discipline. Experience teaching Cyber Security courses at the collegiate level. Experience teaching in both online and campus-based environments. Experience working in Cyber Security, Networking, Digital Forensics, Encryption, Security Policy, Telecommunications, Cloud or Mobile industry, and Object-Oriented Programming. Holds the following certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CISSP, EnCE, CEH, CHFI, and ACE.
